Behaviour & Wellbeing
Children's behaviour is closely linked to their emotional wellbeing and stage of development. As they grow, children learn how to recognise and manage their emotions, build positive relationships, communicate their needs, and respond appropriately to different situations. These skills take time to develop, and it is perfectly normal for children to need support and guidance along the way.
At High View, we work closely with families to help children develop confidence, resilience, self-regulation, and positive behaviours for learning. If you have concerns about your child's behaviour or emotional wellbeing, we encourage you to speak to a member of the EYFS team so that we can work together to provide support and guidance.
Throughout the year, we also offer workshops and parent information sessions on topics such as emotions, behaviour, wellbeing, and child development. Details of upcoming sessions can be found in our EYFS newsletter.
The resources below provide information about accessing support through the Children's Wellbeing Practitioner service. This service can offer guidance and practical strategies to help children develop positive emotional wellbeing and support families with concerns relating to behaviour, emotions, worries, or other challenges they may be experiencing.
