Gifted & Talented

Gifted and Talented

'Gifted and Talented' is a term used in schools to describe children who have the potential to develop significantly beyond what is expected for their age.

'Gifted' refers to a child who has the ability or potential to excel in one or more academic subjects, such as English or Maths.

'Talented' refers to a child who has practical skills such as Music, Sport, Drama or Art.

At High View, children are invited to a G&T club every Wednesday morning to showcase their individual skills and talents. Activities this year have included producing fitness videos and children are in the process of creating podcasts in which they share what they have been doing throughout the school. Once a term, children are invited to a Saturday morning club for two hours where they take part in activities linked to team building exercises and projects that are linked to events in school.
